Paper Epiphanies began in 2014 with the desire to make greeting cards

that broke the rules and celebrated all the things that make

us women. That shined a light on the lives we actually live. That

desire quickly grew into a larger mission to revolutionize an

industry built on platitudes. For hundreds of years, greeting cards

have overlooked too many things, including the women who buy them.

In less than a decade, our founder, Victoria Venturi, has grown

PiPH from an idea to a global brand. Earning the moniker,

“The Coolest Card Store in the World,”

PiPH has disrupted the greeting card industry and is quickly

becoming the most ubiquitous paper brand of our generation.

Meet our presses

Named after Victoria B., the most recent owner who sold us the press to use exclusively for foil printing at only her cost.

Named after Lilly Ledbetter, the American activist who fought for women’s right to equal pay.

In case we forgot to mention it, every letterpress card is made by us inside our Flagship store in Portland, Oregon. Yep, it’s true. Every letterpress card sold in our stores and every card sold to over 2,000 stores globally is printed by one of our vintage Heidelberg Windmill presses - Lilly Lead or Vickie Sparkles. You can’t get more local than that.

As a woman-owned business, we are steadfast in our mission to amplify women and tell their stories. We are unapologetic in our efforts to champion a woman’s right to comprehensive healthcare and to fight for equal access to the arts for women and underrepresented communities.

Led by our motto of cards. gifts. girl power., we are committed to purchasing at least 75% of all products from woman and minority owned companies and brands. What’s more, we only work with women artists and writers on the cards we produce. That’s right. Every single one of the 600+ SKUS in our line was designed and or written by a woman.

Pretty epic.

Discerning Partnerships

We take a discerning approach to all vendor partnerships. Our Flagship Store is comprised of products made by us or purchased from primarily woman-owned brands. ALL of the cards that we produce are designed entirely by women artists. Additionally, we ensure our shelves represent both BIPOC and LGBTQI+ artists and makers. It’s easy to be a “lazy buyer” — to see something cute or with desirable margins and immediately add it to your shop. It takes more time, effort and resources to dig deeper. To find out WHO makes it, WHY they make it and HOW they make it. These are questions we always ask and if the answers don’t align with our core values, we don’t shop with those partners.

Core Values

In fact, our Core Values inform everything we do here at PiPH.

Giving is integral to our brand and not something we do on one particular day or just for PR.
Throughout the year, we share our time, knowledge, and resources with charities that support and amplify women. We donate to the following organizations, among others:
